Martha Washington Garden Club
Scholarship

The Martha Washington Garden Club of Yardley, Pennsylvania is offering scholarships to
qualified high school or college students, living or attending college in the Greater Delaware Valley, who plan to pursue careers in any of the following fields: Horticulture or related fields, such as Landscape Architecture, Forestry, Conservation, or Floriculture. The scholarship money, in a minimum amount of $2000.00, will be awarded to students who are
enrolled in or plan to attend accredited colleges to further their educations in
any of the above fields. The deadline for the application is April 30, 2013. The
recipients will be notified by May 25, 2013, and will be presented with the
award at the garden club luncheon in June.

Each applicant must provide and attach the following to the completed form:

1.   A college acceptance letter

2.   A copy of his/her transcript

3.   A list of high school activities, community service, work experience

4.   References:  2 Scholastic including name, title and address of each.

2 Character, name, address, length of acquaintance.

5.   A written essay stating your interest in these fields.

Scholarship recipient selection is based on the following:

·     Applicant must study either Horticulture, Landscape Architecture,
Forestry, Conservation, Floriculture or a related field

·     College Acceptance Letter 

·     High School or College Grades, Class Rank, GPA.

·     High School or College Activities

·     Community Service

·     Work Experience
