The purpose of this organization shall be to encourage interest in all aspects of gardening to include horticulture, flower arranging, conservation and civic beautification.

Meetings are open to the public.  To join our club, just show up at one of our events and sign up. $30 for a year of free lectures, events, and special garden tours.  See events page for details.

Please join in on Monday, October 22nd, at 9 am as we provide a community service to the Yardley public burial grounds at Slate Hill Cemetery.
All are welcome to help us for a few hours .Meet at the cemetery across from Wells Fargo Bank on Main Street in Yardley near the railroad station.
Please plan on coming out to spruce up the cemetery. Many hands make light work! There is plenty of weeding and raking to do. We will also plant more daffodils along the embankment. Wear sturdy shoes and gloves and bring along a rake,clippers or tarp if you have them.

Slate Hill Cemetery

Slate Hill Burying Ground (Cemetery) is a historic cemetery in Lower Makefield Township, Pennsylvania, with most of its graves dating to 18th century Quaker settlers. It is located at Yardley-Morrisville Road and Mahlon Drive.

Let's get ready for the holidays ! Create a lovely seasonal flower arrangement with greens, fresh flowers, and a festive candle. The garden club will provide all the materials you will need, except for the greens. You will want to cut some evergreen branches from your yard to bring with you. Please also bring scissors, a large plastic bag, and newspaper. All are welcome to attend. No registration is necessary. Guest fee is $10 at the door. Refreshments will be served. Hosted by the Martha Washington Garden Club, instructor Pat Mutek will give you design instructions in this make and take workshop so you will have a beautiful arrangement to take home.

The Jane Parr Scholarship is a $2000 scholarship given annually at our June luncheon to a student majoring in horticulture, landscape architecture, forestry, conservation, floraculture , turf management, organic farming, conservation wildlife management, or any related field.  The scholarship is given in memory of Jane Parr, a former MWGC member and established and funded by Jane's husband, Russell Parr.    Please click on Scholarship link to apply, or contact us at MWGC@ymail.com . Scholarship applications can be mailed to Arlene Gordon, 473 Liberty Drive, Yardley, PA 19067  or waltermgordon@verizon.net

Garden Club Meetings are held September to May on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm at the Lower Bucks Masonic Hall, Edgewood and Heacock Roads, Yardley, PA. Check the events page for more details.
At most monthly meetings, we have a  speaker presentation and a mini flower show.  We are a 501(c)3 organization performing several small community service activities, coordinating tours to gardens of interest and providing workshops to improve our skills.  The Club has two major scholarship fundraisers per year: a plant and bake sale in May and a Fall Gala in November.
Dues are $30 per year to join  or  $5 guest fee per meeting.  You are welcome to attend any meeting. You may join our garden club by paying the yearly dues at any meeting , or just attend as a guest.
